Journalists from Asia Pacific and the United States are invited to apply for a fellowship on energy security that will involve a study tour in Hawaii and cities in Asia or the U.S..

The 2010 Jefferson Fellowships, to take place October 23 to November 13, will look specifically at two of the largest users of energy, the U.S. and China, and their efforts in addressing energy security.

Applicants must be working print, broadcast and online journalists in the United States, the Pacific Islands or Asia with a minimum of five years of professional experience. Applicants must have the ability to communicate in English in a professional, multi-cultural environment.

Roundtrip airfare, lodging, ground transportation and meals are covered for participating journalists.
