Disney held a major press junket this week in Santa Fe for “The Lone Ranger,” much of which was shot in New Mexico. A lot of those shoots were on Native land, and there has been a bit of controversy over the choice of Johnny Depp to play Tonto.

The Native American Journalist Association has leveled criticism at the media giant. Sarah Gustavus, executive producer of national programs at Koahnic, has this commentary at New Mexico InDepth.
