Staci Matlock, board member of the Rio Grande Chapter and veteran reporter at the Santa Fe New Mexican, is one of thirteen journalists selected from around the country for a Maynard Institute fellowship program in multi-media.  Maynard, in partnership with the Oakland Tribune, has been sponsoring the training workshops (in a variety of subject matter) for thirty years and the four-and-a-half week program that Staci is attending is focused on the use of multi-media in advanced reporting.  Staci is currently working out of the University of Nevada campus in Reno during the fellowship (where she and her fellow, uh, fellows blogged the Nevada primaries…) and she’s maintaining her own personal blog entries of what she’s working on at www.maynard.blogs.mu.   Being selected from applicants from all over the country is a huge honor; kudos to Staci.
