The Rio Grande Chapter is happy to welcome Deborah Ziff to New Mexico. She’s a Wisconsin native who worked for the past six years at Madison’s daily newspaper, the Wisconsin State Journal.
Before that, Ziff attended graduate school at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and did an internship at the Tampa Tribune.
Just a few weeks ago, she quit her job as the paper’s higher education reporter and moved to Albuquerque with her husband. Though they’ve only been here about two weeks, they’re already loving the scenery.
Ziff will continue writing while in New Mexico–and she started off her professional life here on the right track by attending SPJ’s Building Bridges conference last Friday.
Welcome, Deborah! We’re glad you’re here!
