Investigative journalists worldwide can apply for grants to fund proposed reporting projects. The deadline for applications is December 9.
Grants will go towards 11 investigative reporting projects published or broadcast in the U.S. and two investigations overseas. Grantees will receive editorial guidance from mentors through a partnership with Investigative Reporters and Editors. The grants are sponsored by the Fund for Investigative Journalism (FIJ).
FIJ is also issuing a special call for projects focusing on environmental and governmental accountability issues. The grants will total US$42,000.
