Gwen Ifill is the moderator and managing editor of Washington Week and senior correspondent for the PBS Newshour. She is also the author of “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.”
Hosted by KNME-TV (PBS Albuquerque/ Santa Fe,) “An Evening With Gwen Ifill” will include an optional VIP reception, cocktail hour and meet-and-greet opportunity followed by an open dialogue with the audience about the fallout from the mid-term elections (which will have taken place only 4 days prior), the state of journalism today, and highlights from her career.
“An Evening with Gwen Ifill” will take place Saturday, November 6 at the African American Performing Arts Center in Albuquerque, Expo NM State Fairgrounds. The VIP Reception will take place from 6 pm to 7 pm with a $50 ticket including hors d’oeuvres, private meet and greet, and VIP seating at the conversation. Admission price for those wising to attend only the open conversation part of the evening – which begins at 7 pm – is $20.00. From 8:30 to 9 pm Ms. Ifill will be signing copies of her book “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama.”
