This fellowship will bring a North American journalist to the Kyoto Prize Symposium in San Diego to cover technology, sciences or the arts.
The Kyoto Prize is one of the world’s most prestigious awards given to those who have made outstanding lifetime achievements in technology, science, or the arts. Founded by Dr. Kazuo Inamori and presented by the Inamori Foundation, the Prize is awarded each November 10 in Kyoto, Japan after a rigorous three-year selection process.
In the spirit of the Kyoto Prize to honor the men and women who have made significant contributions to the betterment of society, Point Loma Nazarene University, in support of the San Diego-based Kyoto Prize Symposium, is offering a journalism fellowship to provide educational opportunities in the following Prize categories: Advanced Technology, Basic Sciences, and/or Arts and Philosophy. The fellowship covers travel and lodging expenses for one journalist to travel to San Diego for four days of events celebrating the Kyoto Prize.
