U.S. journalists interested in immigration issues are invited to apply for a fellowship. The deadline is November 30, and the fellowship will take place from March 5 to 12, 2011.
The fellowship, “Immigration in the Heartland,” is sponsored by the Institute for Justice and Journalism. The first phase of the program will take place in Oklahoma, and the second in Texas. The sessions will focus on immigration laws and ethical issues, and will include meetings with attorneys and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.
Applicants must be US citizens working in print, broadcast or online media. The fellowship includes lodging and travel-related expenses, and selected participants will be notified December 20.
