NPR and the John Alexander Project are accepting application through July 1 for promising journalists to pursue under-reported stories from a location abroad. The Above the Fray Fellowship was created in memory of John Alexander, a promising young journalist who died suddenly of heart failure while on assignment in Chongqing, China in 2007.
Professional journalists with at least three, but no more than five, years of experience are eligible to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. The selected individual will spend three months filing on-air and online stories for NPR. Click here to find out more.
