Robby Gray

Robby Gray

Our members continue to come in with the most amazing expertise…and experiences!

One of the Rio Grande’s newest chapter members is Robby Gray, a two-year reporting veteran with the business weekly in El Paso, El Paso, Inc. At the paper Robby covers stories at Fort Bliss, residential and commercial development, the environment and city government as it impacts local business.

At first glance, Robby took a pretty traditional route to his current career; after earning an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Patrick Henry College in Virginia, Robby interned at the Fairfax County Times near Washington DC and then at the CBS station WCTV in Tallahassee before eventually migrating southwest to his current spot.  What’s really fascinating is that Robby chose to “migrate” to a landlocked area; prior to pursuing his degree in journalism, Robby spent seven years circumnavigating the world with his family on a 56′ sailboat!

Robby will be one of the attendees at the El Paso FOIA workshop and he’s a welcome addition to the chapter.
