Gwyneth Doland, executive director of the New Mexico Foundation for Open Government, is stepping down to return to journalism.

Doland told the Santa Fe Reporter she wants to reconnect with writing and working in television. Doland was a host, producer and correspondent at New Mexico PBS and edited the former online news site the New Mexico Independent. She also worked at the Weekly Alibi and the Santa Fe Reporter.

Under her leadership, NMFOG accomplished a number of victories for open government policies, according to the SF Reporter. Doland is active in the Rio Grande chapter of SPJ and is a former board member.
