KUNM News has a new grant-funded project to report on poverty and public health in New Mexico. The project team needs a strong Reporter to assist to create news content for the project.
This position is full time with full UNM benefits through June 30, 2013. Funding for two additional years is available based on project success.
Description of Duties related to the Project. Bring strong Journalistic skills to collect and analyze information about newsworthy events to write and produce news stories for publication or broadcast. Will work with a team specializing in reporting on the broad topics of poverty and public health in New Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications include: Experience in public radio reporting preferred but not required. Preference for high degree of fluency in conversational Spanish. Preference for experience reporting and/or working in diverse communities in New Mexico. Preference for Reporting on southwest regional issues. Ability to travel to assignments offsite.
