Well, here we go — today we hope to take the chapter website to the next level of multi-media. Tonight, beginning at 5:30, we plan (crosses fingers behind back) to livestream the “Ethics in Media” townhall event being sponsored by our chapter with the support of the Sigma Delta Chi Foundation and SPJ National. On hand will be our new National president, Hagit Limor, to be part of a distinguished panel. Key members of the New Mexico public will make up the audience and will ask questions and make comments.
You’ve received details of the event last week, and if you haven’t already read about it you can check out the post below to learn more about this forum. So if you can’t be there in person, you can “tune in” right here to watch, listen and learn.
I will be adding the link to the livestream video to this post shortly before the event begins, so mark your day planner to return here at 5:30 p.m. today and be prepared to watch an engaging discussion that has even greater import in these troubled days of WikiLeaks and Comedy Central “journalism.” The event will take place in the studios of KNME-TV whose staff will film the forum. We hope to post an edited version of the live stream later as a permanent archive of this important event.
