Melody Romancito

The chapter’s delighted to welcome yet another member from Northern New Mexico into the membership.  Melody Elwell Romancito has worked in computer technology and journalism since 1984. She moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1986 and started working for the local paper, The Taos News, the following year.  She has had a long and varied relationship with the paper, filling positions as varied as ad designer, Tempo editor, copy editor, web editor and freelancer. She has also written for Southwest Art, CBShealthwatch.com and dozens of other publications, both online and in print. When she’s not covering events as the News Director for DMC Broadcasting, she’s composing music and collaborating with musicians all over the world through the Creative Commons. She and her husband (fellow Rio Grande member) Rick Romancito live with their daughter, Ella, in the rural Lower Ranchitos neighborhood of Taos.
