Native America Calling, a national call-in program, is hiring an Associate Producer. Daily duties include researching topics, writing scripts, booking guests and posting updates to social media. The Associate Producer also screens calls during the live broadcast and will train to be a backup host for the program.
This position requires a strong journalism background, the ability to consistently turn high-quality work on deadline and a desire to explain how national issues and trends impact our listeners in Indian Country. The ideal candidate will have experience reporting on Native American and/or Alaska Native issues.
Native America Calling currently airs on 60 public, community and tribal radio stations. The program is a production of Koahnic Broadcast Corporation (KBC) is a nonprofit, Alaska Native governed and operated media center located in Anchorage, Alaska.
