The Los Alamos Monitor, a Landmark Community Newspapers, LLC property, is seeking qualified and professionally successful candidates for the position of editor. The Los Alamos Monitor is a 3x/week community newspaper located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, approximately 30 miles northwest of Santa Fe. It also publishes monthly special sections and other ancillary publications serving various verticals on a variety of frequencies. There is also a growing emphasis on breaking news and cross-promoting the multimedia aspects on its web site, www.lamonitor.com.
The editor is responsible for leading all aspects of the newsroom with an operating philosophy that values coaching, mentoring and team management. Achieving strategic and operational goals and objectives related to news and information content within the print and online components of the company is paramount.
