The Las Cruces Sun-News is seeking an editor for Pulse, its weekly entertainment magazine.

The Pulse editor is responsible for letting our active college-town community know what’s happening in a variety of media. Whether it’s curating news nuggets from the world-famous The Whole Enchilada Fiesta or writing with style about the alt-country singer-songwriter at High Desert Brewing Co., the community will count on you to provide an accurate and thorough account of southern New Mexico’s entertainment and event scene.

The Pulse editor should be a forward-thinking, creative journalist with broad interests who can use social media to further a story’s reach. You must be willing to incorporate video, audio and multimedia into the digital product while working with a page designer to provide a compelling 24- to 28-page weekly print magazine.

Enjoy the spectacular Organ Mountains, engage the community at New Mexico State
University and experience the myriad cultural opportunities in southern New Mexico as Pulse editor, which offers a great opportunity to become a member of the energetic Sun-News newsroom.

Read us online at lcsun-news.com/pulse or visit our Facebook page (facebook.com/
lascrucespulse) to get a feel for our market and our paper.

Then send a resume and a cover letter describing why you think you’d be a good fit for the paper. A journalism degree or related degree is required.
