Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) is seeking a new Training Director. IRE’s training directors lead regional workshops, provide customized training in newsrooms large and small, and play an integral role in our conferences.The position offers the opportunity for travel and allows you to work from home.

We’re looking for journalists with a mix of skills, a desire to teach and a commitment to improving investigative reporting and watchdog journalism. Applicants should have journalism experience and some computer-assisted reporting skills. Teaching/training experience is preferred. Editing experience is a plus, as is more advanced CAR ability. The desire to learn new skills — and help others learn those skills — is essential.
