KRQE News 13 has an immediate opening for a Multimedia Journalist/Reporter.  In this position you will produce, report, shoot, write, voice, edit and feed news production content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers. KRQE Digital in Albuquerque, NM is looking for a dynamic bi-lingual storyteller, anchor, and web producer for its’ digital platforms. This is a chance for a go-getting and critical minded journalist to help craft a completely new element to the KRQE brand. This person will anchor Spanish language news updates on our digital platforms (website/app), as well as producing and writing Spanish language content for our digital audience. Apply here. The Gallup Sun, a weekly newspaper, is looking for a dedicated reporter to cover area news, sports, and events.

  • Prefer candidate with journalism, communications or English degree or any other degree w/ commensurate daily or weekly newspaper experience.
  • Must be local (McKinley County, N.M.; Cibola County, N. M., or Apache County, Ariz.) or willing to move here.
  • Newspaper writing experience and editing utilizing Associated Press Stylebook is essential.
  • Web and social media savvy
  • Must own phone and computer w/ high speed Internet, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat and transportation
  • Excellent communications and follow-through
  • Extra points if you can get high-resolution pictures and create captions to go with your stories.
  • We are also interested in sports pictures and stories.

The New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department seeks a skilled Public Information Officer to lead an external communications team as the department undertakes long-overdue reforms to provide necessary resources and supports to New Mexico children and families.

CYFD’s PIO is an appointed position that reports directly to the Governor.

The incumbent must have experience as a communicator and thought leader in communicating reforms and changes to various audiences, including children in care, biological and resource families, juvenile justice clientele, lawmakers, community stakeholders and organizations, and overall lifting the voice of youth in our care in a strategic and safe way.

KUNM is recruiting to hire a full-time Technical Journalist to work as the New Mexico correspondent for the Mountain West News Bureau a five-state regional public radio journalism collaboration.
