We are restructuring our newsroom and are looking for a versatile photojournalist who can also write. We have two staff photographers but there are certain days we need a third photographer. On other days we need an extra reporter to help with our education and general news coverage in a 21-person newsroom.
We are a 15,000 afternoon daily covering Indian Country in New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Our coverage area is the size of the state of West Virginia with three bureaus. As a photojournalist/reporter you will have the opportunity to cover the Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial, Navajo Nation Fair, Red Rock Balloon Rally, 24-Hours in the Enchanted Forest mountain bike and other races and high school basketball in sports venues that would suit any college team. Position is full-time and includes benefits. Pre-employment drug test required. Camera equipment provided.
