The Department of Communication at Eastern New Mexico University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position to begin in August 2012.
Responsibilities include teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate (Master’s) level, advising undergraduate and graduate students as well as service-related duties at the department, college, and university levels. Tenure-Track faculty are required to maintain an active professional portfolio as part of the probationary process.
Basic qualifications: Successful candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, or other related area by the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have research interests in media studies and teaching experience in broadcast journalism, media law, convergent technologies, new media, and communication research methods. The course load for this position is four courses per semester.
