Last month, the national Society of Professional Journalists adopted a resolution urging newsrooms to avoid certain language on immigration. How might those suggestions work or backfire in our region?

Panelists will include Chris Quintana, editor of the UNM’s Daily Lobo; Dan Herrera, editorial page editor at the Albuquerque Journal; Russell Contreras, AP reporter in Albuquerque and finance officer for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists; and Sandra Baltazar Martínez, immigration reporter and editor for The Santa Fe New Mexican.
