General assignment reporter to deliver news and information focused on our community and surrounding area. We do that through the newspaper, website, mobile apps, Facebook and Twitter. We use Tout, Storify, ScribbleLIive, social media and more. A successful reporter must find those news stories that everyone else ignores and report them through our various platforms.
Responsibilities include reporting, writing, managing the community calendar, handle walk-in obituaries, and content management for several pages per week. Will also need to fill a leadership role in managing the newsroom in the absence of the managing editor and fulfill other duties as assigned.
