The Albuquerque Journal has openings in its Las Cruces bureau and in Albuquerque. The Las Cruces office is a one-person bureau covering a wide swath of southern New Mexico. The paper is looking for someone with the ability to write about a variety of subjects who is willing and eager to travel on a moment’s notice.
Spanish-speaking ability strongly preferred. Basic photo, web and social media skills are a must.
The Journal is also looking for a reporter to cover higher education. Much of the beat focuses on the University of New Mexico, but the reporter will also cover news and trends at other universities and colleges around the state.
