Journalists can win $10,000 reporting trips by submitting a story they reported dealing with infectious disease.

Stories can address diseases such as AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The International Center for Journalists is launching the contest to spur discussion about how the global community deals with these health issues.

Stories published or broadcast between May 20 and Aug. 1, 2013, are eligible for consideration. Find out more and apply here.
